Dixie Bamburg

It is with heavy hearts and fond memories that we announce the passing of Dixie Bamburg, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, who left this world on July 9, 2026, at the age of 78. Born on August 6, 1947, in Fort Worth, Texas, Dixie lived a life filled with love, warmth, and a spirit that touched everyone she met. Dixie's journey was one of resilience, dedication, and boundless love. She found her life's partner in Don Bamburg, with whom she shared a marriage full of laughter and companionship. Though we mourn the loss of Don, who predeceased her, we take comfort in knowing they are reunited once again. Dixie's career was as diverse and vibrant as she was. She began her professional journey as a switchboard operator and later thrived in various roles, including positions at Wells Fargo, General Cable, and in real estate. Her entrepreneurial spirit shone when she established her own cleaning company, a testament to her hard-working nature. She was also a cornerstone at Don's BF Goodrich tire store for many years. Her roles were many, including that of a rodeo wife, supporting and cheering on her loved ones as they pursued their passions. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Dixie was a woman of many interests. She found joy in the art of sewing, the tranquility of gardening, and the challenge of crossword puzzles. Her culinary skills warmed the hearts and stomachs of many, and her love for Scrabble and puzzles reflected her sharp wit and intellect. Dixie's greatest legacy lies in her family. She leaves behind her cherished children: Debbie (Dino) Tirapelle, Rick (Wendy) Gastineau, Lori Gastineau (Tony), Randy (Kelley) Gastineau and Tracy (the late Rich) Barker. Her nurturing spirit and wisdom live on in her 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, each a testament to her enduring love and care. Known for her welcoming nature, Dixie never knew a stranger. Her kindness and genuine interest in others created a community of friends who became like family. She was a beacon of love, always ready with a smile and a helping hand. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Dixie's memory to a charity of the donor's choice. We would like to especially thank Living Waters Hospice for the amazing care they gave. Dixie's life was a tapestry of love, laughter, and unwavering strength. As we celebrate her life, we carry her memory in our hearts, forever grateful for the time we shared with such a remarkable woman.
