Joan Janet Johnson

Joan Janet Johnson, passed away at home with her family in Kingman, AZ December 6, 2021. Joan was born March 10, 1932, in Green Lake County, Wisconsin to William R. and Evelyn M. Lepper. She was preceded in death by her parents (Athol, Idaho), two brothers Gary Lepper and Darwyn R. Lepper (Ruth), of Ramona, CA, also her sister Diane Weeks (John) of Yuma, AZ. Joan was married to Robert E. Survick, San Francisco, CA, 1953 to 1967; Aubrey J. Johnson, Purvis, MS, 1970 to 1988; both have passed away. Joan served her country as a member of the United States Airforce during the Korean War. During the 1950’s and 1960’S she worked as a printing “Key Operator” for General Mills at their locations in San Francisco and Palo Alto, CA, also Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation, La Jolla, CA. In later years she worked as a Dietary Cook at assisted living centers in Post Falls and Pocatello, Idaho where she brightened the days of many residents and prepared meals they would look forward to. In her spare time, she was an avid hobby-craftsman and enjoyed oil painting, wood carving, including running her own ceramics business in Spirit Lake, Idaho. Joan is survived by her son Robert N. Survick (Gayle), Kingman, AZ, her daughter Audra H. Dyar (Johnny), Purvis, MS, and daughter Suzanna M. Sumrall, Purvis, MS; five grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
